About us &
The birth of Easy Way Autos

Our story began in the summer of 2004 in Queens NY. Our founder Manny Reyes was late to a meeting decided to hail a cab to avoid looking for parking in Manhattan. A black Lincoln Town car pulled up, he jumped on the back seat and quickly the car pulled off. The cab was definitely the worse for wear.

Quickly a conversation started between Manny and the cab driver. The cab driver informed him of the struggles and difficulties that cab drivers were having in New York obtaining vehicles for work. He informed Manny that cab drivers were paying up to 4 times what vehicles were really worth. Manny informed the driver that these vehicles can be obtained at a normal price and cab drivers did not have to pay outrageous prices to obtain a car to work and to feed their families.

The cab driver told Manny that if he could make that happen, hundreds of customers will be at his doorstep tomorrow and he will be the first one in line.

Manny shook his hand and said, “In advance, thank you for being my first customer.” And that’s how Easy Way Autos story began.

About a year later, Easy Way Autos was established in March of 2005. Since then we have expanded our programs not just helping cab drivers but anyone in need of a car or in need of a second or third chance to obtain an auto loan. The frequency of oil changes depends on several factors, including your vehicle’s make and model, driving habits, and the type of oil used. As a general guideline, most cars benefit from an oil change every 3,000 to 5,000 miles or every three to six months, whichever comes first. However, it’s essential to consult your vehicle’s owner’s manual for manufacturer-specific recommendations, as modern engines and synthetic oils may extend the interval. Additionally, if you frequently engage in stop-and-go driving, towing, or live in extreme weather conditions, you may need more frequent oil changes to ensure your engine’s longevity and performance. Regular oil changes are a crucial aspect of vehicle maintenance, so it’s wise to adhere to the schedule that best suits your driving circumstances.

Checking your tire pressure is a straightforward process that can help improve safety and fuel efficiency. Start by getting a tire pressure gauge, which is available at most auto supply stores. Remove the valve cap from your tire, press the gauge firmly onto the valve stem, and read the pressure displayed on the gauge. Compare this reading to the recommended pressure in your vehicle’s owner’s manual or on the placard typically located inside the driver’s side door jamb. If the pressure is too low, add air until it matches the recommended level, and if it’s too high, release some air. Don’t forget to replace the valve cap securely. Regularly checking and maintaining proper tire pressure can extend tire life, enhance handling, and contribute to a safer driving experience.

The frequency of tire replacement depends on various factors, including your driving habits, the type of tires you have, and road conditions. As a general rule of thumb, most experts recommend replacing tires every 6 to 10 years, even if they appear to have sufficient tread depth. However, it’s crucial to monitor your tire’s tread depth regularly using a gauge and replace them when they reach 2/32 of an inch or lower for safety reasons. Additionally, if you notice signs of wear, such as cracks, bulges, or uneven tread wear, it’s advisable to replace your tires sooner to maintain optimal traction and road safety. Always refer to your tire manufacturer’s guidelines and consult with a professional if you’re uncertain about the right time to replace your tires.

Auto detailing is a meticulous and comprehensive process of cleaning, restoring, and enhancing the appearance of a vehicle, both inside and out. It goes beyond a regular car wash by addressing every nook and cranny, including the interior upholstery, exterior paint, wheels, and even the engine bay. Detailing involves techniques like washing, waxing, polishing, vacuuming, and steam cleaning to remove dirt, stains, and imperfections. The goal is to bring a vehicle back to its showroom-like condition, protecting it from damage and enhancing its visual appeal. Auto detailing not only maintains a car’s aesthetics but can also contribute to its resale value and overall longevity.

Addressing an oil leak in your vehicle is important and should not be ignored. While not always an emergency, oil leaks can lead to significant engine damage and safety risks if left untreated. The urgency depends on the severity of the leak. If you notice a minor oil drip, it’s still crucial to schedule a repair as soon as possible to prevent further issues. Larger or more active leaks, however, should be treated as urgent matters, as they can lead to a loss of oil pressure, overheating, or even engine failure, which can be costly to repair. Regularly monitoring your vehicle for leaks and promptly addressing them can help ensure safe and reliable operation.

Brake pulsation, often felt as a vibration or shaking when applying the brakes, is typically caused by uneven wear or warping of the brake rotors. This can result from excessive heat generated during braking, which can lead to the uneven distribution of material on the rotor’s surface. Factors like aggressive or prolonged braking, towing heavy loads, or driving in hilly terrain can contribute to brake rotor overheating and warping. To address brake pulsation, it’s essential to have the brake system inspected and, if necessary, resurfaced or replaced to ensure safe and smooth braking performance.

Rotating tires is essential for maintaining even tire wear across all four wheels of a vehicle. Over time, tires on the front and rear axles can wear differently due to variations in weight distribution and steering dynamics. Regular tire rotation helps extend the lifespan of your tires by ensuring they wear down uniformly. This not only saves you money by reducing the frequency of tire replacements but also enhances safety and handling, as even tire wear promotes consistent traction and stability. Ultimately, tire rotation is a cost-effective preventive measure that contributes to a smoother and safer driving experience.
